New asphalt or a fresh layer.

Hot-mix asphalt is all we do: new paving built up from the sand, and resurfacing that lays a new layer over pavement that is worn on top but still solid underneath.

Asphalt Paving

Built from the sand up. We grade so rain drains away, compact a solid base, then lay hot-mix at full thickness and roll it tight.

  • New driveways and full tear-out replacements
  • Parking lots for shops, churches, offices, and HOAs
  • Private roads, ranch lanes, and long rural drives

Resurfacing

If the pavement is tired on top but firm underneath, a new layer of hot-mix goes right over it. Faded, rough, lightly cracked asphalt comes back smooth and black, for less than tearing it out.

  • For drives and lots that are worn, not broken
  • Soft or failed spots fixed before the new layer
  • Usually costs less than a full replacement

Pave new, or resurface what is there?

The answer is under the surface. Here is how the two compare, and at the estimate we will tell you which one your property needs.

Florida sand needs a real base.

Sandy ground shifts, afternoon storms soak it most of the summer, and the sun bakes pavement all year. When water gets under asphalt the base softens and the surface breaks up, so the job starts below the blacktop.

Compacted baseSpreads the load so the sand below cannot rut.
Graded, compacted sandSloped so rain sheets off the drive, not under it.

How a job rolls out.

  1. Call or send the form

Give us the address and a rough idea of the job. Snap a few photos if they are handy.

  2. We walk the property

We look at the sand, the drainage, and the traffic it carries, and tell you whether it needs new paving or a resurfacing.

  3. Your price, $1,500 off

One clear scope and one number, with the $1,500 already taken out. You decide when, or whether, to go ahead.

  4. We pave it

The crew grades, paves, and rolls, trims the edges clean, and tells you when the drive is ready for your car.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes, and they cost nothing. Call (888) 802-5202 or send the form, and we will find a time to look at the property. Every estimate includes $1,500 off any project.

Do I need new paving, or can you resurface what I have?

If your asphalt is faded, rough, or lightly cracked but the ground under it is still firm, a resurfacing puts a new layer of hot-mix on top for less than starting over. If it has potholes, deep cracks, or soft spots that sink, the base has failed and it needs to be rebuilt. We check that during the estimate and tell you straight.

Can you pave over Florida sand?

Not straight onto it. Sand shifts and holds water, so it gets graded, compacted, and topped with a solid base before any asphalt goes down. That base is what keeps a Florida driveway from rutting and sinking.

How soon can I drive on it?

Give fresh asphalt a few days before normal traffic. Florida heat keeps it soft longer, so skip sharp turns, trailer jacks, and kickstands at first. We tell you the exact timing for your job before we pack up.

Can you pave during the rainy season?

Yes. Florida paving goes on all year, but hot-mix cannot go down in the rain or on a soaked base. In the summer storm season we plan around the afternoon storms and move a paving day if the ground is too wet.

Does a new driveway onto a state road need a permit?

If the driveway connects to a state road, yes: FDOT issues driveway connection permits, and counties and cities handle their own right of way. Mention it at the estimate so the paperwork is done before paving day.

What areas do you serve?

Home base is Daytona Beach. We pave across Volusia County, up the coast through Palm Coast and St. Augustine to Jacksonville, down the Space Coast to Melbourne and Palm Bay, and inland to Sanford, Orlando, and Kissimmee. Larger projects take us farther, so call even if your town is not listed.
